8:00 AM — Depart Auckland

Begin your Northland adventure with a comfortable morning departure from Auckland. As the city fades behind you, the landscape gradually changes from urban Auckland to rolling farmland, native bush and the relaxed scenery of Northland.

Kiwi North provides an excellent introduction to New Zealand&aposs natural heritage. Guests can experience native wildlife and gain an understanding of the conservation work being carried out to protect New Zealand&aposs endangered species.

The experience provides an opportunity to learn more about the kiwi, New Zealand&aposs iconic national bird, while discovering other aspects of the country&aposs natural environment. A genuine introduction to New Zealands &aposwildlife before continuing into the historic heart of Northland.

Step into one of New Zealand&aposs most significant historical places and discover the stories, traditions and cultural heritage surrounding Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

Here, visitors can explore the grounds and learn about the signing of Te Tiriti o Waitangi / Treaty of Waitangi, the agreement signed in 1840 between many Māori chiefs and representatives of the British Crown.

The experience brings together history, Māori culture, architecture and beautiful views across the Bay of Islands. The evening is intentionally relaxed, allowing guests to experience Paihia at their own pace. Enjoy a relaxed dinner after your day of exploration.

9:00 AM — Start the Day

Enjoy breakfast and prepare for the highlight of the second day: your Bay of Islands cruise.

Cruise across the spectacular Bay of Islands, exploring its beautiful islands, dramatic coastline and the iconic Hole in the Rock.

Board your cruise and head out into the spectacular waters of the Bay of Islands, a region famous for its 144 islands, secluded bays and dramatic coastal landscapes. The cruise takes you across open water and through one of New Zealand&aposs most spectacular maritime environments.

Depending on conditions and wildlife activity, you may have the opportunity to see dolphins and other marine life along the way. The journey culminates at the spectacular Hole in the Rock, a natural arch carved through Cape Brett. When sea and weather conditions allow, the vessel may travel through the opening—creating one of the most memorable moments of the journey.

3:00 PM — Depart Paihia

After the cruise, begin the scenic journey south toward Auckland. But rather than taking a simple direct transfer, the journey includes one final Northland highlight.

Take a refreshing scenic break at one of Northland&aposs most beautiful waterfalls.

Stop at Whangārei Falls, a spectacular waterfall surrounded by lush native vegetation. The falls cascade over basalt cliffs into a beautiful pool below, creating an impressive natural setting and a perfect final photo stop before continuing toward Auckland.

Guests can stretch their legs, enjoy the scenery and capture photographs of one of Northland&aposs most recognizable natural attractions. A beautiful final chapter to your Northland adventure.

Return to Auckland

Continue south through the Northland countryside before arriving back in Auckland in the evening. And just like that, your Northland Odyssey comes to an end—but the stories, landscapes and experiences of the Far North stay with you.
